More about Volunteer Training

Group Facilitators

Each year SRSH picks a select group of four or five group facilitators at each of our universities. We offer this team a fantastic opportunity to work with students with mental health problems in a supported environment. We provide our Group Facilitators with outstanding training and ongoing support. We are there after EVERY group session our facilitators run to talk through the session and help group facilitators build their skills. If you are passionate about mental health, we are offering you the chance to build your skills while making a real difference to the lives of students at your university.

For more information, take a look at our guide to volunteering with SRSH.

Group Representative

SRSH is passionate about getting students talking about mental health. We quite simply believe that Talking changes lives. So we value campaigning pretty highly! We are always on the look out for passionate students who can get people enthusiastic about mental health. If you have things you want to shout about (or just feel that someone ought to be shouting!) get in touch as we'd love to talk some more! We can either provide you with pre-designed campaigns or help you build your own ideas into something that will have real impact.

No group at your university?

Check out the "when and where" section of our website to see where we currently have groups operating. If we don't have a group running at your university, get in touch with our project manager, Elisabeth (elisabeth@srsh.co.uk) in the SRSH office and she can talk you through what setting up a new group would involve.
